On Friday, November 7th participants will brave the elements by sleeping outside for one night. We will meet at Family Life Shelter (12580 N. Sparrow Lane - Mt. Vernon, IL) and stay overnight at this location. Participants can bring their own tent, sleep in a cardboard box (provided) or sleep in their vehicle. It’s open to everyone of all ages - families, individuals, faith and school groups, sports teams, school clubs, etc (children under 18 need an accompanying adult).THE CAUSE: 100% of the proceeds will go towards our shelter to help provide a warm and safe place for the homeless to rebuild their lives.
Step 1: Register
Join a team or participate on your own! Go to the Get Started tab above to register and kick off your fundraising.
Step 2: Fundraise
Once you register, a fundraising page is created for you with built-in tools to make it easy to fundraise. Aim high! 100% of the proceeds go to those in need.
Our suggested minimum fundraising goal is $500. You have until Thursday, November 7th at midnight to meet your goal. We make it easy with our Starter Kit at the tab above.
Step 3: Sleep outside
On Friday, November 7th @ 7pm, we will gather at the Family Life Shelter (12580 N. Sparrow Lane - Mt. Vernon, IL). You can bring a tent, sleeping bag, your car, or a provided cardboard box. We will conclude our event with a big breakfast at 7am!!
