About this Event
A FREE family Christmas event so real you’ll feel like you've time-travelled over 2000 years! All ages are encouraged to tour the town of Bethlehem and experience what life was really like on the night that Jesus was born. Stroll the marketplace and assemble a craft or visit the live stable animals. There will be something for everyone.
This remarkable experience is for one night only, Friday, December 8 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Mesa, AZ. Children, parents and grandparents alike will enjoy the free hands-on activities, music, and refreshments.
St. Luke Lutheran Church is delighted to continue the tradition of bringing ancient Bethlehem to life on its campus as a reminder to the community why we celebrate Christmas. Families will have the opportunity to momentarily slip away from the busyness of the season while reflecting on everyday life many, many years ago in the small town historically famous for the miracle birth that occurred there. “With all the glitter and hype of the Christmas season, this evening offers a needed change of pace and focus. We want the people and families in our community to have fun together, while experiencing the sights and sounds of that first Christmas in Bethlehem,” says Pastor Luke Hennings.
