A Once-Off Tribute to the Songs That Haunt the Heart
On this singular evening, we gather beneath the low lights to worship at the altar of shadow and song on 21 Nov 2025. Doors open at 18h30, when the world outside still breathes. The performance will begin at 19h32, an hour fixed by heartbeat.

For R300 per soul (https://qkt.io/dkcgKu), you will be seated theatre-style inside the PJ Olivier Art Centre in Stellenbosch — close, reverent, electric. Outside, a courtyard awaits: a quiet place to share a drink, to whisper among the vines, to linger before the plunge.
Bring your own offerings: wine, bread, small comforts; there is no bar, no restaurant, only the night and this communion.
The night’s congregation is honoured by these South African voices and instruments:
On piano and vocals: James Smith — a South African pianist-vocalist whose classical roots cross into deep soul and desire.
On cello: Anjulie Nock — a versatile musician who has graced many of the country’s stages, bringing her strings and subtle fierceness to each note.
On piano/vocals: Jake Gunn — emerging from the northern suburbs of Cape Town, a blues-rock shaman whose piano and soul soaked voice carry both fire and hush.
And a special guest appearance by Andra — Namibian-born singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, whose raw voice and emotional landscapes have drawn crowds across Southern Africa.
The evening is born from the lifelong reverie of Conrad Jamneck — blues-shaman, festival architect, and conduit of the subterranean rhythm. As lead-voice of the Fake Leather Blues Band and one who has carved stages in Mozambique’s wild coast (STRAB), he now reaches for another night of ritual: this tribute show will be a communion of shadows and sound. With his vision, the evening becomes more than performance: it becomes a communion.
