“Un Barco de Sueños" is a heartfelt journey of resilience, hope, and the unyielding spirit of a young girl who dares to dream beyond the horizon. Born and raised in a small town in Cuba, Jenisbel embarks on an extraordinary voyage to the land of freedom at just nine years old, carried by a raft built by her father. Through the eyes of a child, the story captures the poignant and profound moments of her first taste of ice cream—an experience that symbolizes the beginning of the unimaginable and the fulfillment of long-held dreams.
This inspiring tale delves into the challenges of adapting to a new world, the courage to face adversity, and the importance of holding onto one's dreams even in the face of overwhelming odds. As Jenisbel shares her personal narrative, she weaves a powerful message of hope for children and families, reminding us all that life’s challenges can be met with strength and resilience.
