About this Event
After several years as the head chef for Chartier in Beaumont, Steven Brochu made the decision to go out on his own. As the owner/chef at MilkCrate he faced many challenges throughout Covid and had to pivot many times throughout the pandemic. He recognized also that the hospitality industry is an unhealthy industry with low wages, job insecurity, higher instances of drug and alcohol abuse and poor employer-employee relations. He founded MilkCrate listens. It is meant undo a damaging irony: that hospitality staff should deprive themselves of the very care that goes into serving others.
