The annual "A Maryville Christmas" performance will take place at 7 p.m. in the Clayton Center for the Arts’ Ronald and Lynda Nutt Theatre. This year's concert will feature the Maryville College Concert Choir performing "A Ceremony of Carols" by Benjamin Britten. Principally in Middle English, with some Latin and Early Modern English, the work was composed in 1942 on Britten's sea voyage from the United States to England.The concert will include sing-a long selections by the Orchestra at Maryville College, directed by Dr. Ace Edewards; the Maryville College Community Chorus, directed by Dr. Dwight Dockery ’05. The chamber choral ensembles Off Kilter, Lads and Lassies will present holiday classics such as "Ding, Dong Merrily on High", "I Saw Three Ships" and "Go, Tell it on the Mountain."
