About this Event
Know this in your bones: From the stars in the sky to the depths of the sea, you belong.
Honor who you’ve been and who you’ll be. With this one precious life, forgive, find the joy, and just breathe.
Join us for an afternoon concert featuring composers Joan Szymko, Jocelyn Hagen, Ysaye Barnwell, and more! Spectra Choir will also be world premiering a piece composed especially for us by award winning composer, Marybeth Kurnat.
In addition to the beautiful voices of Spectra Choir, come enjoy music from local female musicians Kristen King, Harp, Sarah Land, Violin, Josephine Johnson, Guitar, and our fabulous collaborative pianist, Kelli Horton.
There will be a reception and a silent auction after the concert.
Our Mission
We are a feminist treble choir in Savannah, GA committed to creating innovative and intriguing music while amplifying underrepresented voices through the repertoire we sing, the causes we support, and the community we create.
Our Vision
Our vision is to continually be purposeful in enacting change and evolve with compassion and open minds.
To question the gatekeepers of the choral world (and world at large). To have the courage to take up space with our eyes clear and hearts on fire.
To always value the multi-faceted, ever changing, beautifully colorful human, spirit, and voice.
