I'm excitied to announce that I shall be hosting a long weekend yoga retreat in Spain at a charming traditional Spanish villa right in the heart of the Andalucian countrside - Thursday 15th May - Monday 19th May 2025.This secluded villa, restored lovingly from old farm buildings, is set in beautiful gardens with a huge private pool, an ice bath, indoor and outdoor dining spaces, a gorgeous indoor yoga studio with amazing views, as well as a covered outdoor yoga area and a firepit, so there is absolutely no need to leave.
Our retreat venue is a 150 year-old property is situated on a secluded hillside in 80 acres of olive groves and Spanish oak woodlands. The property has a large (20 m) pool situated in a walled enclosure, and a courtyard garden, with a back terrace offering dining areas, a barbeque, and an authentic wood fired pizza oven on the terrace, with sunset views over the hills.
The owners make every effort to make the Cortijo as eco-friendly as possible - water is sourced from their own well and there are solar panels to heat the water. Waste is sorted and composted on site.
Schedule
Arrival on the first day Thursday, is from 5 pm, dinner is included.
Departure and check out is on Monday by 11am, breakfast is included

Yoga Space
The Cortijo has a fully-equipped yoga studio (including high-quality mats, bolsters, blocks and meditation cushions). The studio has large windows facing toward the sunrise, overlooking scenic woodland/ mountains and hills toward the Sierra de Loja. In addition there is an outdoor yoga platform (with sail shade)
Meals
All meals will be prepared by our very own chef and will be healthy, delicious colourful vegetarian food, which is locally sourced, seasonal, and organic where possible.
Full board - 3 meals per day included, as well as dinner on first evening (Thursday) and breakfast on the day of departure (Monday).
There will also be drinks and snacks available throughout the day should you fancy a bite to eat, or a hot drink, and 2 glasses of wine are included with your evening meal.
Accommodation
As you would expect with 150 year-old building, the accommodation has a rustic character which is very homely and comfortable, but not luxury. The Cortijo has 11 delightful authentic guest bedrooms (all with en-suite bathrooms), these consist of twin shares, tripple, doubles for couples and single doubles.
There are lots of tranquil areas outside to relax as well as two separate living rooms within the house; the larger main sitting room has a film projector, a grand piano, an open log fireplace and there is also a bar.
Things to do
There are many hidden gems to discover hiking in the surrounding countryside (natural springs, lakes, waterfalls and caves). Or there are other places of interest within an hour’s drive of the Cortijo, including many lovely beaches, or a visit to the cities of Malaga, Seville and Granada.
Cost
Sharing - Twin / Triple rooms with single beds all with en-suite bathrooms) - £595 pp
Sharing Double room with ensuite for couples - £595 pp
Single - Double room with ensuite - £715 pp
NB - A non-refundable deposit of £175 pp is required to secure your booking.
Flights
Fly to Malaga for 50 minute transfer to venue, (transfers can be pre booked, we may be able to reduce the cost by sharing)

Accommodation, full board - 11 meals and 6 yoga classes.
