Join nonprofit Siskiyou Mountain Club for a 28-minute film that follows a crew of young Americans who find themselves in the middle of nowhere with no phones, no technology, and up against the greatest challenges of their lives. They face tough water crossings, hard labor in areas exposed by recent wildfires, and work days that start, and sometimes end, in the dark. "A Long Way to Nowhere" captures just eight days of the crew's three-month tour restoring trails fading from southwest Oregon's and northwest California's public lands, and focuses on two interns and their process of finding purpose in a lofty mission set by the Club's leadership.
Following the short screening, enjoy Q&A with the filmmaker and SMC staff members Vincent DiFrancesco.
