Get ready for a night of authentic ska, rocksteady and reggae as A Little Way Different returns to the Samuel Worth Chapel – bringing the golden sound of Jamaica’s musical heritage to one of Sheffield’s most atmospheric venues.
Expect classics and deep cuts from icons including Alton Ellis, Delroy Wilson, Ken Boothe, Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs and many more – all played on original vinyl.
Your host for the evening is Richard “dubhut” Smith, whose love of reggae began in the late 1970s. Introduced to Manchester’s sound system culture soon after, Richard began DJing in the 80s and has been sharing roots reggae with Sheffield audiences ever since.
Joining him is special guest selector Gin One Stop from London, bringing their deep crates, infectious energy and passion for classic reggae culture to the Chapel for a night of uplifting music and good vibes.
Immerse yourself in a celebration of roots, rhythm and community – all in a truly unique heritage setting. Come skank, sway or simply soak up the atmosphere at A Little Way Different.
