About this Event
You know something. You know something about aspects of life, identity, community, heritage, safety - all manner of things - that many others don’t get. They can’t know.
Have a read of, ‘A Letter From The Future to Ourselves’, (http://murmurations.cloud/ojs/index.php/murmurations/article/view/243) and come along to a workshop to generate an idea and focus for your own offering, your own letter. What needs to be told and shared by your unique set of experiences? Perhaps on behalf of a community?
The workshop will offer some exercises and ideas on how to gather your thoughts and knowledge together to write a strong, yet dialogical letter. We will imagine your readers, your audience, and what will help them to be moved by your writing.
You’re welcome to share (or not) your letter with others. Treat it as an exercise. Let it take you where it takes you. One avenue you might explore is looking at how you could use this invitation with others. You could see how people can reposition themselves from being in receipt of a service to being an expert with much to offer others.
Gail Simon, (DProf), is a Systemic Therapist with The Pink Practice; Co-Director of the systemic publishing website ‘Everything is Connected Press’; and former Editor of Murmurations: Journal of Transformative Systemic Practice.
