A LEITH HOOLIE: ALEX IS 60Roots & Rise!
Alex turns 60 and is marking it the only way that makes sense - by gathering the community for a full-on hoolie in Leith, Edinburgh. This is a three-day celebration of movement, music, ritual, and the ties that bind us. We are honouring the past to move boldly into what comes next.
A warm invitation is extended to the Brazilian community in Edinburgh, our friends across the UK, and the international family who wish to join us. Whether you are a capoeirista, a dancer, a musician, or simply curious...you are welcome here.

WHAT'S ON
Immerse yourself in a weekend of Capoeira, Afro-Brazilian Orixás' dance, a Berimbau Orchestra, Yoga, a Batucada Workshop, Rodas, and the launch of a book co-authored by Mestre Marco Aurélio (with a discussion) .
