Trione-Annadel State Park is unique in that its diverse, expansive biomes all have one thing in common they were shaped by the use of fire.
About this Event

As you explore the trails with State Park staff, learn more about historic, present, and future fire resiliency work that has been completed in the past or planned for the future, to ensure the health of the oak woodland ecosystem and preserve the park’s diverse flora!

This guided hike will explore the Warren Richardson and Steve’s “S” Trail loop, which totals about 2.5 miles round-trip, and takes an average of an hour and a half to complete. Participants should dress accordingly for weather, prepare for a moderate hike, bring water, sunscreen, and snacks.

To meet staff for the hike, stop at the gate where entrance fees are required, then follow Channel Drive to the end, where you will find the Warren Richardson parking lot and trailhead. Staff will be stationed by the picnic tables and restrooms before the hike begins.
