The second Sandars lecture will explore the question of how do archival collections within and across institutions relate to one another.
About this Event

As collections continue to grow, how do archival collections within and across institutions relate to one another like the pieces of a never-ending jigsaw? The second Sandars lecture will explore the “archival coalface”, from first encounters with the material, to the process of discovering an archive’s story and finding it a home.

The talk will showcase historical and contemporary collections acquired and preserved by British libraries over the past fifty years, including materials related to Siegfried Sassoon, Laurence Olivier, Winston Churchill, Muriel Spark, and Francis Crick.
