About Sam: Sam Rosenblum is an active member in the Boston Jewish Young Professional scene. For the last 15 years Sam has been dancing lindyhop, a swing dance popularized in the Jazz era. Lindyhop has experienced a large surge in popularity in recent years and there is a thriving community in Boston. Sam has danced all over the world and has taught in the US and Europe. He is excited to share the dance, music, and how these art forms connect to the culture and experience of the Jewish people with fellow young professionals.
About AJ: AJ is a Boston based musician, circus artist, and band leader from Portland, OR. AJ graduated from Berklee College of Music on full scholarship and has performed at globally renowned festivals and with Grammy award winning artists. Their project, The Klezmer Klub, mixes genres of Jewish folk and global contemporary music and promotes shared cultural learning through art. Their 1920’s-30’s dance band, AJ Rubin and The Ghost Notes, engages dancers with unique takes on early swing dance music. Combining vintage vaudevillian charm with modern values, AJ strives to have every performance inspire joy, gratitude, and community conversation.
