Joyce and Matt Zacharewicz founded Short and Stout Tea Company in 2011. They began by selling tea at farmers' markets and craft fairs for a couple of years before the opportunity arose to open a brick-and-mortar store in their community of Guilderland, NY. Today, Short and Stout is a full-service tea lounge offering premium tea both in-store and online.
For more than a decade, Joyce and Matt have dedicated themselves to learning about and appreciating tea in all its diverse forms. They have traveled to Thailand, China, and Japan to source their teas, gaining in-depth knowledge of various tea cultures and establishing one-on-one relationships with the farmers.
