A Gentle & Restorative Yoga Experience: Wintering With CompassionSaturday, January 31 | $25
with Susan Andersen & Linda Shweiri
Registered Yoga Teachers
Wintering With Compassion is a 90-minute gentle and restorative yoga experience created to support the body, heart, and nervous system during winter—a season that naturally invites rest, reflection, and emotional awareness.
In many wisdom traditions, winter is connected to the Water element. Water represents our emotions, inner world, intuition, and the ability to flow with life rather than push against it. Just as water moves slowly and deeply in winter, this class encourages you to slow down, soften, and honor what you are feeling without judgment.
Rather than trying to “fix” emotions like grief, fatigue, or fear, this experience creates space to meet them with compassion. Through gentle yoga poses, mindful breathing, soothing sound, quiet moments of reflection, journaling, and extended restorative rest, participants are invited to listen inward and care for themselves in a nurturing way.
This class blends gentle movement with moments of stillness, allowing the nervous system to settle and the heart to feel supported. You do not need prior yoga experience—everything is offered in a way that feels safe, slow, and accessible.
Participants often leave feeling grounded, calm, and held, with a renewed understanding that rest, kindness toward oneself, and emotional presence are essential parts of healing and renewal—especially during the winter months.
Come as you are and allow yourself to be supported.
