A GATHERING OF HUMANS AT NIGHT is an Introduction to Radical Aliveness group process. We will be exploring our connection to our inner impulses in this group. Join us on Friday, April 19th, 2024 at 7:00 - 9:00 PM (Pacific Daylight Time). We will be gathering at 5631 La Jolla Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92037. The group is $25.00. Space is limited to 12.
THIS MONTHLY SOMATIC LABORATORY SPACE IS CO-CREATED & WILL SHIFT TO MEET WHAT IS PRESENT IN THE ROOM. THIS SPACE MAKES ROOM FOR DEEP FEELING, SOMATIC INQUIRY & EXPLORATION THROUGH GROUP PROCESS.
Radical Aliveness Group Process is an approach to groups that aims to create space for personal and collective exploration.
The primary focus of Radical Aliveness Group process is on exploring and embracing the full range of human emotions, including emotions such as anger, fear, and grief while also acknowledging that they will look different for everyone.
This process places importance on connecting the impact of societal and cultural factors on an individual's experience. It explores how larger systems and structures contribute to personal struggles and encourages participants to consider the intersections of personal and collective healing.
What to expect:
- Widen the lens through which you perceive the world
- We will be exploring our connection to our inner impulses
- Invitations to challenge yourself and take risks
- Connect with yourself in a group field
- Allow emotions to emerge related to climate change & world issues
- Every group ends with a short walk overlooking the ocean at night

Practitioner Bio:
Madison Nees is a Radical Aliveness practitioner, counselor and artist. My practice focuses on the intersection of ecology, somatics and spirituality. I have worked in the addiction and trauma treatment industry since 2015. I am a certified Radical Aliveness Facilitator as well as a Substance Abuse Counselor. When I began my journey, I did not understand that the pull to somatics was a call of my ancestors. I was being pulled to heal all the things my mother could not and ultimately lost her life avoiding. I was being pulled to feel the things my Grandmother had no language for.
My body knew the language however, and it spoke in illness, pains, aches and rage. During this process, I discovered gifts hidden beneath these repressed emotions. These gifts were the sensations. The gifts were the grief. They were also the intuition and creativity of my lineage. I always tried to “do” something with the emotions but my healing advanced the more I simply sat with them. Instead of trying to push them away, I wondered what would happen if I let them grow. They grew into my practice today.
