ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
Bill Crisp has been working with native and non-native snakes and other reptiles for over 25 years (including large constrictors and venomous). Bill is now co-partner of K2C Wildlife Encounters, LLC. During his presentation, he will discuss habitats, habits and natural history with his native snake ambassadors, including one very misunderstood special guest! You can learn more about Bill at www.k2cwildlife.com.
Nikki Stamps is the director of Bird in the Hand. As a state and federally licensed wildlife rehabilitator and master falconer, Nikki has provided life-saving medical treatment and rehabilitation and nursed literally hundreds of God's creatures in their struggle to survive enroute to being released back into the wild. With the assistance of her four owl ambassadors, she will discuss our native owls along with their natural history and environmental importance. You can find her at www.birdinthehand.net.
Leslie Sturges has been advocating for our native bats for over 25 years. She is the founder of Bat Conversation and Rescue of Virginia and over the past 20 years, she has cared for well over 1,000 bats and has maintained a colony of bats that visit schools and other venues to educate the public about bats and wildlife conservation. She will be bringing one of her amBATsaddors! You can learn more about her organization at https://www.virginiabats.org
