Fun, cowboy challenge style day camp.Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Our Cowboy Challenge style obstacle course is a mix of exercises designed to test the trust between horse and rider/handler. You will navigate a series of challenges—from polework footwork, obstacle drags, gate openings to bridges, catwalks, raised platforms, pedestals, a rolling bridge, and see-saw balancing. The course also features weaving through cones, barrel pushes, pool noodle sections, cowboy curtains, and a flag carrying task, along with change-of-pace exercises, one-handed rein exercises, rein backs, water tray, tarps, and podium steps for climbing up and down. Each exercise is designed to build agility, balance, and communication in a fun, friendly horsemanship challenge.
Participants: 8 people maximum
Cost: £90pp (£30 deposit required)
Stabling: Grass turnout pens included (water buckets and hay not supplied)
Horses: Age 4+, mixture of in hand and ridden (but can be done in hand only)
Horses need to be fairly confident and have some previous experience with obstacles.
First-timers need to book onto our regular group session clinic before attending this session.
9:00 AM: Arrivals from
9:30 AM: Welcome brief (in arena, optional if group 2 want to arrive later)
Morning Sessions: Working through half the course (Non mobile obstacle parts - polework, manoeuvres, gate, ground tying, one handed work, obstacle drag etc)
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Group 1
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Group 2
12:00PM - 12:45PM: Free to walk course unmounted on foot
Afternoon Sessions: Working through the other half of the course (Mobile obstacles part - bridges, curtains, see saw etc)
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Group 1
2:00PM - 3:00PM Group 2
3:00PM - 3:30PM: Free to walk course unmounted on foot (course map print outs emailed before and print outs on the day)
3:45PM - 4:30PM: All participants- Friendly competition course to finish.
An obstacle course of everything put together from both sessions to test both the horse's and rider's versatility, trust, communication, and problem-solving skills. The obstacles are a mix of ground control and mounted exercises to enhance confidence and teamwork. Entirely fun and if there's any obstacles which have proved difficult over the day, you can miss out etc. It's just a fun round to finish the day on and a chance to put things together.
4:30 PM: Wrap-Up and Rosettes - celebrate participants' competition course with rosettes and feedback.

Please bring your own lunge/long line for in hand and riding hats must be worn in all sessions.
Horses must be up to date with annual vaccinations.
Information will be emailed nearer the time once bookings are in.
If sessions are smaller in numbers due to bookings, then they may be subject to being slightly shorter duration if less people in the group/or slightly longer if more.
