Enjoy 2024’s Buck Moon! A guided experience of the Hogback Ridge trail to enjoy a view of the sunset to the west and the moonrise to the east over Boulder. This moderate hike (about 3 miles round trip and about 800ft elevation gain) will be taken at a moderate pace to soak in the beauty around us as we explore some ecology, history, and geology of the area. Meet at the Four Mile Creek Trailhead (420 Lee Hill Rd.). A $5 cash parking fee is required for vehicles not registered in Boulder County.Note: While this is a moderate hike, expect some sections of rocky/steep terrain. Please bring layers appropriate for the weather, water, proper hiking footwear, and a headlamp.
