PJ Smoot, a 29-year-old MWHS graduate and lifelong Monroe resident, was recently diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a progressive disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. There is currently no cure for ALS.Join us on Sunday, September 21 from 12–5 PM at the Pavilion at the American Legion – Post 488, 523 Lakes Road, Monroe for a day of community, love, and support. ALL proceeds from this event will go toward essential home modifications to help PJ safely navigate his home as his condition progresses.
