An event by SwordOfJustice 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. (although one can stay longer than the official time and tour wherever one wants: the half hour time span refers to when the logbook is available to sign as at 6:31 the CO is off visiting the galleries. No problem if you come later and cannot find me to sign in).
The Manitoba Museum hosts free visits on the first Friday of each month from 4 - 9 p.m. So let's meet at 6:00 p.m. in the front lobby / ticket area and wander through the galleries, science gallery and planetarium. Some of the Blackduck potsherds (ca. 650 - 800 C.E.) that the CO excavated with the Parks Canada team in the first archaeological investigation at The Forks is on display; look for the maker's fingerprints on the inside of the vessel's rim.
Parking can be a nightmare but perhaps less so after business hours (?!). You can rent a locker downstairs to house your winter gear.
