At a personal level, creating a Professional or Clinical Will involves thinking about the fact that, like everyone, therapists can get ill or die. Even if we accept this, finding a way to take the next step isn´t easy.Considering that the past 18 months or so has brought death as a topic directly into many of our lives, we may have been reminded that creating and maintaining a Clinical Will is important as practising therapists, counsellors or coaches. Indeed, as practitioners in the fields of counselling or coaching, we have an ethical and clinical responsibility to make sure our clients are contacted and supported in the event that we are unable to do so ourselves.
In light of this, you are invited to join Mike Toller for a conversation about Clinical Wills on the 23rd of November. This will be an opportunity to openly share our thinking, feelings and experiences about Clinical Wills with other practitioners and to consider what prevents many practitioners from setting up a Clinical Will, despite the need to do so.
As part of the forum, Mike will be presenting a digital platform he has developed over the past two years, as a result of the difficulty he faced in creating a Clinical Will of his own.
