A collaboration between the culinary creations of Loulou of Carrot Bomb Catering and the vintage stylings of Dandy, "A Fort" is a one-of-a-kind dinner party experience under a giant hand-stitched vintage coverlet canopy.

ABOUT THE VENUE

Dandy is a dream that somehow came true for its owners, Ryan and Jess (Day + Anderson = Dandy). Since October of 2017, the couple has preserved and transformed this former heating company into a jack-of-all-trades hot spot. Vintage furniture/décor/clothing in the front, event/production/performance space in the back. Getting married? Have an event? Want to collaborate? Get in touch!

ABOUT THE CHEF

From Kristine M. Kierzek of The Journal Sentinel:

Loulou doesn't think it's her recipes that make for good cooking. Her approach is all about ingredients. She keeps chickens and a garden [in Washington Heights], freezing and canning her bounty to feed her family and clients year-round.

A personal chef and caterer, she spent years cooking for performers at the Pabst, Riverside, Turner Hall and Colectivo venues. Now she's carving out more family time and churning out bone broths, sauces and personalized menus for clients, through her Carrot Bomb Catering.

PARTY SCHEDULE

Doors/bar open at 6:30pm. We ask our guests to arrive on time to enjoy their complimentary drink, as the 80-minute dinner experience begins promptly at 7. Our vintage store will also be open during the wind-down if you’d like to cash in that $15 gift card!

AUGUST 14 RSVP DEADLINE/REQUIREMENTS

All attendees must purchase a ticket with their choice of entrée and potential dietary restrictions by THURSDAY, AUGUST 14. Only 24 seats will be available!

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We will only be accepting cash, check, or Venmo (as a non-business transaction to bypass the fee) as payment in the pilot run of this event.

DRESS CODE/PHOTOGRAPHY FYI

Dressing up is always fun, but Dandy is judgment-free, so wear what you want! Event photography by Coppens & Co. The purchase of your ticket implies consent to maybe be included in promo-based photography.

QUESTIONS

Dandy is always available to field questions about the menu, space, or anything you might be curious about! Getting one out of the way: This concept is new, so the actual fort won't be seen until you arrive. Surprise!
