Audition to be a part of our summer 2024 production – Georges Feydeau’s classic French farce A Flea in Her Ear, running from July 12 to 27 2024 with director Robert Hockenberry. Auditions are available in-person through our online audition form https://forms.gle/GKGYNGMAiBDgKh5m6Auditions will be held at The Margaret Partee Performing Arts Center at 523 Lincoln Ave, Bellevue, PA on the following dates:
Thursday, May 23rd from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, and
Tuesday, May 28th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm
Please fill out the online audition form ahead of time, and be sure to indicate which time slot or slots you are available. We will compile the responses into a final schedule and contact you with your scheduled audition time.
Please bring your resume and head-shot, if available.
Please prepare a monologue of no longer than 2 minutes.
Available roles are:
Victor-Emmanuel Chandebise/Poche — male, mid 20s-mid 40s. Businessman, also doubles as hotel porter Poche.
Raymonde Chandebise — female, mid 20s-mid 40s. Victor’s gossiping wife.
Camille Chandebise — male, 20s. Victor’s libidinous nephew, has a lisp.
Antoinette Plucheux — female, 20s. The Chandebise maid.
Etienne Plucheux — male, 30s-40s. The Chandebise butler.
Dr. Finache — male, 40s-60s. Doctor and friend of Victor.
Phillipe Tournel — male, mid 20’s-mid 40s. Victor’s best friend & co-worker; a lothario.
Don Carlos Homenidès de Histangua — male, 30s-40s. A jealous, short tempered husband.
Lucienne Homenidès de Histangua — female, 20s-30s. Don Carlos’s passionate wife.
Augustin Ferraillon — male, mid 30s-mid 50s. Owner of a hotel of ill repute.
Olympe Ferraillon — female, mid 30s-mid 50s. Augustin’s wife, the real brains of the hotel.
Marguerite — female, any age. A maid at the hotel.
Batistin — male, mid 50s-late 70s. Augustin’s uncle.
Verrucktmann — male, 20s-50s. A hotel guest.
