About this Event
Festival of Generalism
Generalism has the potential to enhance patient and population outcomes in ways that are equitable, sustainable, and responsive to patient and population needs. This Festival of Generalism is for clinical policy makers, academic and educational leadership, science communicators, and patient advocates. It celebrates the launch of a new book: Generalism in Clinical Practice and Education, edited by Park & Leedham-Green, UCL Press. This book has been co-produced by 40 academics, clinicians, patients and educators and sets out an overarching philosophy of generalism with its underlying principles of practice. These principles invite a paradigm shift that can be applied to enhance healthcare systems, research practices, clinical interactions and education. We invite you to join us for a day of exploration, discussion and future-orientated planning. What needs to change for clinical generalism to flourish?
