About this Event
Join us for a fun, fan friendly evening on World Series eve! Former Phillies pitcher Vance "Vanimal" Worley will break down the World Series squads, conduct a post-mortem on the 2024 Phillies and look to the future. Unfortunately it's deja vu all over again as the contemporary Phillies mirrored Worley's 2011 season. Worley will share his experiences from the 2011 campaign on November 21st at North Hills Country Club in Glenside. This exclusive event will be limited to just 150 attendees.
Worley will engage in a Q&A session with veteran sports journalist Ed Condran, comparing the Phillies' strength, their starting rotation, to the legendary arms of his 2011 team. That squad featured Hall of Famer Roy Halladay, the unflappable Cliff Lee, 2008 World Series MVP Cole Hamels, and the legendary Roy Oswalt, boasting a franchise record 102 wins. Worley himself posted an impressive 11-3 record, achieving the highest winning percentage on that remarkable staff.
During the event, Worley will reflect on his experiences as a 23-year-old rookie learning from pitching icons, share stories of the toughest hitters he faced, and discuss what makes Phillies fans so unique and special. The charismatic Sacramento native, now a Delaware Valley resident, will also detail experiences coaching Great Britain at the WBSC World Cup in China last month, his favorite cheesesteaks, and memorable encounters with fans.
After the Q&A, Worley will be available for autographs and photos. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres included with your ticket, and take advantage of the cash bar.
