About this Event
250 Years ago, the American Colonies were in turmoil. Although widespread violence had not broken out, there was no love lost between the American Colonists and the British Monarchy.
In the spring of 1775, the Mecklenburg Militia met on what is now the corner of Trade and Tryon, and by May of 1775 the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence was signed. Join us as we follow the path that led from this moment to the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia July 4, 1776.
