A day out at Cadair Idris!
Only 16km but with close to 900m of ascent and some proper mountainous terrain towards the trig makes this an epic ride!
If the weather is on our side then the views are absolutely stunning, better than Snowdon IMO! However, if the weather is against us then this may not happen and we will probably end up at Coed y Brenin.
You will need to bring clothing suitable for the day bearing in mind that it will be remote, mountainous and the weather can change at the drop of a hat. Bring plenty of snacks and plenty of water as required. Your bike should be in good condition and safe to ride. E-bikes and analogue bikes are welcome but a helmet is a must, no helmet no ride!
Aiming for wheels on the ground 10:30am we will meet at 08:30am at Morrisons Cafe in Aberystwyth and then head off after breakfast to the parking area at the foot of Cadair Idris, parrking is very limited so please car share if you can.
The ride should take no more than 3 hours but may well chew through most of your ebike battery so make sure you are fully charged. There will be a few of us on analogue bikes too so the pace will be very steady.
