June is the rice planting season in Japan, and we will experience this at Baba san’s big rice fields in Hino city, located in the west of Tokyo.Baba san is an organic rice farmer in Hino. It is our 4th year to hold rice related events. (Rice harvesting in October and Shimekazari, the New Year decoration making in November)
Not only do we get to plant rice this time, Christina Lopp Schwabecher, who is a creative watercolor artist and instructor, will lead us express what we felt through our experience in the field of art!
Join us for the day of learning, being creative, and having fun outdoors with your family!
Date: Sunday, June 9th (9:00am-2:00pm)
Place: Baba san’s rice field in Hino
*About 1 hour by train / car from the center of Tokyo (The exact location will be informed after signing up.
*You will park at a nearby coin parking.
* The closest station is Takahatafudo station (Keio line). About 8 min walk to the rice field.*Rain or shine.
Fee: 23,000 yen/family
10,500 yen/individual participation
*Including Baba san's rice product (rice noodles or rice crackers) to take home
*PayPal invoice will be sent to you once you sign up by email.

日野の有機農法で田植えをしている馬場さんの田んぼで6月11日に田植えを経験しませんか。田植えの他にも水彩画の講師のクリスティーナさんが水彩画スケッチを教えてくれます。
毎年外国人ファミリーが約15家族集まるこの人気のイベントも4回目となりました。ぜひ野外での一日を楽しみましょう！
