One-Day, Individual Retreats

Could you use a day or a few hours away from the hurly-burly of everyday life? Take some time for yourself at the Renewal Center. Schedule one-day or half-day quiet retreats. Spiritual directors are available or you can spend the time with your own thoughts and prayers.
We want to help you design a day away that will help you renew and refresh your spirit. Flexibility is the keyword.
We welcome all faith traditions and all people of good will at the Renewal Center.
After you register, a member of our staff works with you to design a program that fits your needs. If you desire, you can meet with a spiritual director on the day of your retreat, or you can spend the time on your own.
When
The first Thursday of each month. Choose a time that works for you. Retreats can last a few hours or a full day. Overnight stays may be available.
What we offer
- Take a full day, a morning or an afternoon.
- Rooms to sit quietly.
- A chapel.
- A library with spiritual reading material.
- Walking paths and a labyrinth in a quiet natural setting.
- Snacks and beverages. (No meals are provided.)
- Spiritual Direction.
- A Catholic Mass is celebrated on weekday mornings at 7 a.m.
- An ecumenical Christian prayer service in the Taizé style is at 7 p.m.
Why Make a Retreat
On retreat, you intentionally set aside quality time for you and God to be together and to grow more deeply in your relationship with God.
It is a time to get in touch with your feelings, your thoughts and your actions — both in prayer and during the rest of your day.
Why a Spiritual Director
A retreat offers you a chance to be in conversation with God; a spiritual director helps you listen to God.
A spiritual director helps you notice the movements of God in your heart.
A spiritual director can meet with you at the beginning of the retreat to help you assess your goals and offer suggestions of how to pursue them
A spiritual director can meet with you at the end of the retreat to help you process the experience.
Costs
The cost of the retreat depends on what services you want. Our suggested offerings are below. Pay what you can. No one will be turned away. You can pay at the time of registration or the day you visit the Renewal Center.
- $15 half day, $30 full day
- $50 spiritual direction
- $40 overnight stay.
