Come and join The Savoy Singers for A Day at Zoo, A Night at the Theatre, a fabulous show featuring music that spans the decades!In Act 1 we’ll take you to The Zoo, a short comic operetta by Arthur Sullivan & Bolton Rowe which follows the farcical story of two pairs of lovers. Meet Carboy, a young chemist who believes he’s poisoned his beloved Laetitia by mixing up her mother’s prescription with a dose of peppermint, and Thomas Brown, a nobleman who visits the zoo to woo Eliza, the refreshments seller, and tries to impress her by buying and eating all her food! With hilarious consequences!
Act 2 showcases musical numbers and medleys from shows such as The Lion King, Les Miserables, My Fair Lady, Showboat, Porgy & Bess and Rent. Join us for an entertaining afternoon full of toe tapping tunes and plenty of tea and cakes!
