Richard Trethewey returns to Lady Daphne again and hosts a night of songs and films, alongside cheese and wines. Songs will be chosen from his latest album, Two halves, alongside some of Richard's most well loved tunes.As part of the evening we will create a cosy atmosphere onboard Lady Daphne in the heart of Charlestown Harbour, complete with log fire. We will have wines, local ciders and ales for sale from our onboard bar. To make the evening extra special we are requesting guests all bring along some cheese to share with the performers and audience.
Born in Cornwall’s Clay Country, Richard Trethewey is a singer, fiddle and cittern player delivering his distinct take on Cornish music, giving Cornwall a truly authentic voice.
Richard completed his Folk music degree in 2011, released his debut album ‘Dig Where You Stand’ in 2012 and has been involved in many line-ups and projects since. ‘Two Halves’ marks only his second solo release album.
Growing up in Cornwall surrounded by music Richard developed a keen interest in the traditional music that tells the story of this remarkable place. He currently works as a music therapist for Children's Hospice South West at Little Harbour.
Drinks will be available from our Bar throughout the Evening. Only drinks purchased from the bar can be consumed onboard.
