Celebrate the release of Isaac’s Song, the latest novel by Dr. Daniel Black, the acclaimed author of Don’t Cry for Me and Perfect Peace.

Dr. Black will be joined by literary advocate Jay Guillory, widely known as @black_boysread for an engaging conversation exploring the poignant themes of his new book.

Isaac’s Song is a powerful and emotionally exuberant story set in 1980s Chicago, following a young queer Black man on a journey of self-discovery, artistic expression, and family reconciliation amidst the AIDS crisis and Rodney King's attack. With his lyrical prose, Dr. Black weaves a tale of resilience, forgiveness, and finding one's voice.
