At a time where there is increasing media speculation of a UK-EU reset, this talk will explore the current relationship, look at recent public polling and political positions on Brexit-related matters, and consider the prospects of closer ties between the UK and EU.

John McStravick is a researcher at Queen's University Belfast. His work focuses on trade barriers following Brexit and the nature of the UK's new relationship with the EU. He regularly publishes policy papers and commentary on Brexit, including for the Centre for Cross-Border Studies (where he is a visiting Research Fellow) and UK in a Changing Europe. Previously, John was a political reporter and analyst covering UK-EU negotiations in Westminster and Brussels 2016-20. You can find him on social media @JohnSMcStravick.
