Are you looking for an opportunity for your child to learn the Christmas story and participate in a Christmas pageant this year? Consider A Christmas Pageant ‘Play in a Day‘. This creative theater experience will be held at Prospect Park United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 13. Students will rehearse and perform a Christmas Pageant under the direction local theater professional Mason Tyler. Kids will learn the story, create the costumes and set, act out the story, and add their own unique spin to this age-old story. The day will end with a public performance and a reception (with a visit from Santa Claus!).Who: Students enrolled in kindergarten through 6th grade.
When: 9:00am – 1:30pm, Saturday, December 13. Performance begins at 1:00pm. Doors open at 12:45pm.
Where: Prospect Park United Methodist Church, 22 Orlin Avenue SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414.
Food: Lunch and snacks will be provided. Dietary restrictions should be noted on the registration form.
Cost: $25 (this includes lunch and snacks). Scholarships are available for any student. Just check the box on the registration form. No extra paperwork is needed. The actual cost of this event is being underwritten by Prospect Park United Methodist Church.
Experience: Do students need theater experience? Absolutely not! Students need to come with the ability to follow directions and have the emotional and physical stamina for a long (but fun!) day.
