About this Event
With the failure of his last book, Charles Dickens needed a hit and fast. Begun in the middle of October, A Christmas Carol was written, edited, illustrated, typeset, printed, and distributed by December 17th. It then went on the take a minor holiday into what Christmas is today. That is not hyperbole. This one book changed society. And yet, few people have read it.
