A soft remake of A Chinese Ghost Story, this third installment in the trilogy sees the evil Tree Spirit back with yet another romantic ghost played by Joey Wong. The Swordsman Yen and Leslie Cheung characters are replaced in this installment by a Buddhist Abbot and his disciple (Tony Leung), who seeks shelter in the Orchid Temple as the amorous ghost attempts to court him.
