About the show: A CHILD'S CHRISTMAS IN BUFFALO takes place in Western New York about fifty years ago, during another politically and economically fraught time, which seems like it has a lot in common with what's happening now. And although it could occasionally feel very tough while were were going through it, somehow, mostly by banding together, we managed to survive, and even make a few wonderful memories along the way.
A TALE OF TWO BLIZZARDS is a humorous and heartfelt reminiscence of two major Western New York storms that put both our safety and sanity on the line.
About the author: LAURA PEDERSEN was born in Buffalo and graduated from Sweet Home High School. She's a former New York Times columnist and the author of 7 plays and 18 books, including Buffalo Gal and Buffalo Unbound. Her book of essays, A Theory of Everything Else was a semi-finalist for the Thurber Prize for American Humor. Laura has appeared on Oprah, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, Today, Primetime, and David Letterman. She has performed stand-up at the Improv and writes for several well-known comedians.
