Overview
Fires often cause explosions in vessels, particularly those containing liquids common in Process plants. Fire fighting in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and chemical process industries may be particularly complex, where, potentially every fire is a Hazmat incident. Large quantities of toxic fumes are frequently involved and may lead Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) members to undertake rash actions which constitute hazards to personnel. It is essential to refresh and update these sets of skills as a CERT member.
This comprehensive training will refresh the participants with the knowledge and skills to handle the hazards of process plants correctly, in the event of an outbreak of fire which they are called on to fight. The participants will also refresh their knowledge to identify and correct hazards, thus, prevent fires from occurring. All participants will have hands-on fire-fighting training in the industrial size fire-fighting training facility with advanced firefighting scenarios.
Who Should Attend?
This course is suitable for experienced CERT personnel such as ERT or SIC who were previously trained as a CERT member in the process, oil & gas, chemicals, refinery and petrochemical industries.
Applicable Skills & Knowledge After Course Completion:
- Practical on Fire Hose Deployment
- Practical on Hazmat PPE and mitigate leak techniques
- Practical on Search & Rescue (SAR) in Confined Space
- Practical on HOT fire fighting

A Certificate of Attendance issued by A-CERTS

Preferably trained in ERT and certified medically fit.

How much is the training fees?
S$385 (all inclusive) for members of A-CERTS and S$430 for non-members.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the training venue?
Your details will be needed to enter the training ground. A-CERTS administrator will contact upon your registration.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Transport is not provided. The directional details will be sent to participants upon registration of this training.

Is my registration transferrable?
Your registration can be transferred but you will have to inform the A-CERTS administrator at [email protected] at least 10 working days in advance.
How do I pay for the training?
Via PayNow, cheque or online credit card payment. Upon registration, the A-CERTS Administrator will advise you on the payment details.
What is the refund policy?
A-CERTS does not refund but you are allowed to transfer your seats, if available. Please give notice of at least 10 working days.
The name on the registration doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
As Certificate will be issued upon completion of this training, please ensure that your details are correct.
