In 1926, at a meeting at the Accounts Chambers in Johnston Street, Wellington, Mrs JW Bell (and her husband) offered to lease three sections of her land for the purposes of establishing a tennis and bowling club in Titahi Bay.Well Mrs Bell, thanks to your kind offer, we are still here 100 years later and don’t we have some stories and memories to share of those years gone by!
Over the course of Wellington Anniversary weekend (16-18 January 2026), we invite current and former members of the Titahi Bay Tennis Club to come and join us in celebrating this incredible milestone!
In coming months, we will update this post with more information about events planned for the weekend. In the meantime, please put this in your diary, share with friends, family, or perhaps use it as an opportunity to reach out to a former interclub team mate you haven’t seen or heard from in a while and tell them you’ll see them there!
