At the time of the Winter Solstice, a time of death and rebirth, of trust, of metamorphosis, of resting and preparing and looking forward to the new year, come join us in a celebration of your own power and divinity.
The day will draw on the energies of Hecate, the crone; energies of wisdom, knowledge, assurance and foresight …
The word ‘Yule’ comes from the Norse word ‘Jul’ which means ‘wheel’. This is the longest night and the shortest day of the year and after which the daylight hours begin to lengthen. The Winter Solstice is considered a time of miracles when we welcome the light; a time of wonder; a time to move away from the darkness and toward the light. In the Pagan traditions of Alba, Scotland, this was considered a time of gratitude for the preceding year and a time to look forward to all that the next year holds.
Using story telling, music, movement, touch & laughter we connect to our own power, the weave of sensuality, sexuality & spirituality, & explore what it means to be embodied at this time.
THE VENUE
Held in a beautiful Heart Space in Prestwick, Scotland
On Saturday 21st December 2024
between 10:30am and 5.30pm
£70, or £60 if paid in advance
You will help create a sacred space in which you can relax, open, heal, reclaim and support others to do the same. You will be fully honoured and invited to participate at your own level.
THE FACILITATOR
The playshop will be lovingly facilitated by Gillian Alexander
Gillian has been facilitating training for more than 35 years. She facilitated the Sacred Heart Tantra Group, and now Sacred Touch World meetings, events and organisation in Scotland since she cofounded the group in early 2009. Her background is mainly in science and research, in health service facilitation and management and as a shaman, masseuse and Dakini. She is an artful solution finder, motivator and inspirer of others, leading by example in living in her passion and embodying her power. She invites you into a world where anything is possible …

FIRE CEREMONY
The Yule Solstice falls on 22nd December and you may like to create a fire ceremony to offer to the fire that which no longer serves and to welcome the coming light and abundance.

"I wanted to say thank you for the playshop on Sunday. I had never attended anything like this before and was incredibly nervous beforehand. That nervous feeling disappeared almost as soon as I entered the room and I think that was down to the positive energy, both from you and the others present.
Everything I did that day was new to me but the environment that you created made it a very safe and secure place to gain new experiences. I felt able to explore myself in the company of very warm, accepting people. I really appreciated the fact that there was no compulsion to share if that would make me feel uncomfortable.
The atmosphere was amazing and the music was so suited to the different aspects of the day. I enjoyed all the different exercises and found that I was being stretched to think about me and my relationship to other people and to the Earth.
The circle at the end of the day was truly wonderful with everyone being honoured by the group in the way that they choose. I found it took me some courage to ask, but being so beautifully hugged by the entire group was an experience I will never forget – I can still feel it almost a week later.
