About this Event
Tamra was a musician, artist, documentary producer, author, journalist, and activist. She was a dear friend to Manly and Marie Hall. Tamra served as a dedicated PRS staff member in the 1980s, working wherever she was needed. She wrote a number of books including Making the Ordinary Extraordinary: My Seven Years in Occult Los Angeles with Manly Palmer Hall, The Magic of the Orphic Hymns: A New Translation for the Modern Mystic, and the upcoming The Unobstructed Way: A True Account of the Exploration of Life After Death with Ronnie Pontiac.
On Sunday, January 18th we will gather at PRS to honor Tamra's life. Her partner and husband, Ronnie Pontiac, will illuminate parts of their creative projects and adventures together including their work at PRS and their extraordinary relationship with Manly P. Hall and his wife, Marie. This event will include a montage of photos, videos, zine pages, books, scenes from her documentaries and music. Select speakers will share personal stories about her inspiring work and friendships. Video testimonials include Mitch Horowitz, Normandi Ellis, Ike Baker, Sasha Chaitow, Danny Goldberg, Any Hale, Matt Marble and other dear ones and colleagues.
