Join us on Monday, December 15 at 6 PM in the Crawford Room for an interactive, seasonal, sing-along experience with musician and storyteller Andy Mason. Known to many of our families from his summer performances and StoryTime music, Andy returns to the Library with a festive program that blends music, trivia, and holiday cheer. In A Brief History of Christmas Music, Andy explores questions like: Who wrote the 12 Days of Christmas? Why is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer so popular? Who first sang Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree? What was the first Christmas song performed in outer space? And did Frosty the Snowman really come to life? Through live performance and fun audience participation, he takes listeners on a journey from 16th century English carols to Christmas music of the new millennium, highlighting the stories and surprises behind some of the world’s most beloved holiday songs.
This all-ages program invites the whole family to sing along, learn something new, and get into the spirit of the season. For more information, call 577.7323.
