After a very warm Summer, may we gracefully invite the calming Autumn vibrations. For some of us this transition can be a challenging one, as winters in Wyoming are long but this practice is all about accepting what is and in fact finding the beauty in it all. One of the great benefits to breathwork is that we improve our circulation, making it easier to adapt to the changing temperatures. In this practice we will tap into the perfect balance that breath can bring. In addition to all this you will be treated to a ceremonial cacao combined with an egyptian blue lotus elixer. For over 3000 years the Blue Lotus was used by the priesthood of ancient Egypt for its medicinal properties and as a spiritual sacrament. Blue Lotus generally produces mild consciousness-expanding effects that are said to have a “divine” essence, which brings upon the feelings of tranquility and subtle euphoria.
For this class we ask that you do not consume caffeine or nicotine for at least 2 hours, eat for at least 1 hour or drink for at least 30 minutes before practice. It is also best to empty bowels and bladder before practice as it is preferable not to have to get up during class.
After class we will provide delicious Chamomile tea to both rehydrate and ground you as you move back towards your evening.
What to expect-
-This practice is done in a comfortable reclined position.
-It is preferable to wear a sleep mask through the duration of the practice, this will help to enhance the outer body experience. One will be provided for you but you are also welcome to bring your favorite one from home as well.
-Though this class is a very deep meditative practice, the music played during may surprise and excite you. Music plays a big role alongside the rhythmic breath. The music will range in energy levels and volume to match the intention of the moment, heighten the energy of the practice, and add to the vibration and concentration.
-There will be approximately 30 minutes after practice to debrief, journal, and reflect. This will be an open discussion but sharing is not required.
What to bring-
-One or two of your favorite feel good blankets from home.
-A sleep mask if you prefer to use your own.
-Journal
-Wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing. No tight sports bras or elastic bands around your waist to allow freedom to breathe deeply.
