A special Box of Chocolates event celebrating Diwali; the Indian festival of lights. Indian classical dance has a powerful nature, enlisting the help of hand gestures, intricate footwork, facial expression, and body flow. Behind that powerful nature lies stories of devotion founded on ideals of humanity that come from deep within Hinduism and ancient Indian mythology. Chandini Tetri Boodhoo from Natraj Center for the Performing Arts will present and demonstrate the richness of Indian classical and Bollywood dance and just how beautiful the art form is. Dances by Tina Khilawan, Aaliyah Kishundat, Manisha Boodhoo, and Ashlee Bisnauth.
