We will be exploring the incredible Kai Simone Winery, a family-owned and Black-owned establishment situated in Spring Branch, Texas, along the Guadalupe River. They are known for their high-quality wines and outstanding customer service, all at affordable prices.
Dr. Sheila Adams is the visionary founder of Kai Simone Winery . As the CEO and Manager, she transformed her passion for wine into a thriving business after retiring from the US Army, where she served as a Behavioral Health Officer for 28 years.
Kai Simone offers both public and private events in its expansive venue, featuring a variety of activities such as concerts, movie screenings, yoga sessions, wine and chocolate tastings, painting classes, and specialty markets with vendors and live music.

Although there are more than 8,000 wineries in the United States, about one-tenth of one percent of the winemakers and brand owners are Black, per Phil Long, the president of the Association of African American Vintners and owner of California winery Longevity Wines.
