Pigeon Pit is a songwriting project from Olympia, WA which blends psychedelic country, DIY pop punk and early 2000’s era folk punk through the maximalist storytelling of frontwoman Lomes Oleander. Largely playing houses, DIY venues and generator shows, Pigeon Pit has been touring for the past decade in various combinations, from intimate solo performances to their current 6 piece line up, gaining mainstream recognition while still holding onto their anti-capitalist values. Their new LP “Crazy Arms”, out January 17th on Ernest Jenning, focuses on grief, trans experience, and the triumph of the human spirit with a raw and unique sound.
Ragana is a duo whose members alternate duties on drums, guitar, and vocals to produce some of the most unique and affecting dark music in metal today. The two-piece came together in 2011 in the DIY punk scene of Olympia, WA. Held together by an intense focus on raw emotion and haunting atmospherics, Ragana shifts seamlessly from mesmerizing vocal harmonies to piercing, heart-ripping screams and back again, yielding music that is heavy, beautiful and punishing all at once.
