🎼 A Baroque Christmas with Ipswich Chamber Choir with The Geldart Ensemble 🎶Ipswich Chamber Choir invites you to begin the festive season in glorious style with an hour of music that blends the joyful
brilliance of Bach with the warmth and wonder of traditional carols.

In the first half of the programme is Part III of J.S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, a radiant cantata filled with celebration, pastoral beauty and expressive choruses. We will
perform this with the Geldart Ensemble (complete with baroque trumpets) and tenor soloist William Searle.

The second half of the evening brings a change of mood, with a selection of familiar carols and festive choral works — joyful,
reflective, and full of seasonal atmosphere. The programme includes Christmas favourites John Rutter, in his 80th birthday year, Peter Cornelius' The Three Kings, Adolphe Adam's O Holy Night featuring tenor William Searle as well as carols for choir and audience.
